OUR HISTORY
ESTABLISHED IN 2005 IN NEW MEXICO
Clover Leaf was launched in 2005 in Albuquerque, NM as a company dedicated to supporting the needs of the local DOE community. Our original formation brought together respective backgrounds in industrial hygiene & safety, environmental compliance, and IT applications.
As our business grew, we added construction management, project management & inspection services. Having diverse expertises has allowed us to offer a wide range of comprehensive services to a desirable client base in DOE, DoD and large commercial companies.
DEVELOPING OUR EXPERTISE
Since the beginning, Clover Leaf has provided support to Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories, namely Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in New Mexico. Being founded and headquartered in NM, we are proud to support these important institutions in our state.
We provide support to the laboratories in all of our key service areas. We were instrumental in establishing baseline IH assessments at both Sandia and LANL as required by 10 CFR 851 when it went into effect in 2007. We also inventoried the entire Sandia facility infrastructure using BUILDER™ SMS, a massive project spanning 4 states and 3 years of work. To our knowledge, we were the only small business within the DOE national laboratory complex given the responsibility to complete the BUILDER initiative for a site. Our first client was the NM Army National Guard in the DoD, where we developed spill plans and other environmental services to support the National Guard mission.
Our ES&H work on construction job sites led us to venture into project management, construction management, and code inspection with our key clients. With any project, we prioritized quality documentation, which provided us with a strong group of technical writers and we expanded into providing writing support directly to our clients and won a $9M technical writing and graphics contract with Sandia.
DEVELOPING OUR IT EXPERTISE
Our ventures into software development led us into software patents based on email authentication technologies that have been a remarkable gateway into IT opportunities. Our invention of these technologies has been instrumental in the formation and development of both Swoop (swoopnow.com) and Snowball (snowballfundraising.com), two corporations providing password-free log in technology and non-profit fundraising, respectively. Clover Leaf also owns a technology called Autopilot, which is the core email authentication software and parent-technology for Swoop and Snowball.
WHAT CLOVER LEAF HAS BECOME
By providing consistently outstanding service, Clover Leaf has grown to more than 150 professionals and is actively operating in NM, CA, OR, NV, OK and TX. We have continued to expand our services into all aspects of facility infrastructure services, facilities management, program & project management, and technology for national laboratories throughout the DOE complex, as well as for commercial clients. in 2020 we acquired Kirk Air Co., which had been providing air and hydronics testing, adjusting and balancing services (including clean room performance testing) for 47 years.
We have established in depth relationships with our long-standing clients, and continue to add to our client base.
